Some dishes do not need an introduction. Dal Makhani is one of them. That slow cooked, velvety black dal with a hint of cream and butter is pure comfort in a bowl.
Spice Up Foods has taken this Punjabi classic and made it travel ready without touching its soul. Our Dal Makhani starts with whole black urad dal, simmered with tomatoes and a careful blend of whole spices. The result is freeze dried at peak flavour, so when you add hot water and wait those 5 to 7 minutes, what you get is remarkably close to what your favourite restaurant serves.
We do not use preservatives because we do not need to. Freeze drying naturally extends shelf life without chemicals. There is no palm oil in our recipe, no shortcuts, and no artificial thickeners. The creaminess comes from the dal itself, cooked low and slow the way it should be.
